Warsaw Wandering

In the early 1990s, shortly after Communism fell in Poland, there weren’t that many places to take children for a day out in Warsaw. In the summer, the zoo greeted us with apes, elephants, candy-floss and cellophane balloons. If I’d had my way, we would have gone there in winter too. But in those days, the winters in Warsaw were snowy, snowier than they are now, so we were taken to museums instead.
