To climb, or not to climb?

Uluru is a significant tourist destination and instantly recognisable symbol of Australia but how much do we really value the rock? Enough not to climb it? Ayers Rock is sacred to the Anangu, the local indigenous people who are responsible for the land. They ask you not to climb through signs and information at the cultural centre.
