Tibet Under China

Offering a very welcome contrast to Tibet’s capital, development hadn’t yet quite touched every part of the town of Gyantse, our first stop outside the city. Gyantse Dzong, built in 1390, looks as though it has grown straight out of the rocky hillside, presiding over both old and new Gyantse.
