The Two Sides to Egypt

When I close my eyes, I see two sides of Egypt. No, wait a moment, make that three. The first is the Egypt that dreams are made of, strewn with words like Pharaoh, Ramesses and Cleopatra. Words that have not echoed down through generations but rather pulsed at full volume like a teenager gone wild, screeching a souped-up Ferrari through world history with the boombox jacked up high.
