The Sacred Falls

Every year tens of thousands of Vodou pilgrims come to cleanse themselves, and make offerings at the sacred falls of Saut-d’Eau. At night, they dance under forest trees, where Vodou balances on that cusp between belief and black art. The spiritual rapture is said to be as physically demanding as it is transformative.
