The Karun: Iran’s longest river, the film, and the challenge
November 29, 2015 In the spring of 2014, Tom Allen and Leon McCarron travelled along Iran’s longest river, the 450 mile-long Karun, via a variety of human-powered methods. Their aims included ‘fight[ing] the growing amount of bigotry and hatred towards the cultures of this part of the world’, and, of course, ‘to have a great adventure’- in both cases, this area of Iran was a fitting choice.
