The Florence American Cemetery in Italy

In honor of Memorial Day, I would like to reflect on my recent experience visiting The Florence American Cemetery in Italy. It was an experience that was both moving, awakening, and heart wrenching. The Florence American Cemetery spans 70 acres, with 4,398 headstones: 4,322 Latin crosses and 76 Stars of David.
