The Earth Burped and Japan Got a New Island

The earth burped and Japan got a new island. A volcanic bump now named Niijima has formed and grown to 14 acres, and The Inertia speculates about the day it creates a surfable wave.  "A miniscule island, now named Niijima, has been created as a result of a volcanic eruption on the south end of the Ogasawara island chain.
