In 2014, the Ministry of Education implemented ground breaking reforms to tackle systemic corruption within the exam system. The reforms shone an unforgiving light on attitudes to corruption and deficiencies in the education system as a whole however they appear to be working and for the first time in recent history, those with top grades achieved them purely on merit.
