Castles, lakes and mountains: that’s what the guidebooks promise. Slovenia looked like a paradise on earth, all rolling green landscapes and wooden houses straight out of some cartoon ski resort. But not one of those things was my reason for going there. I was always more interested in visiting Metelkova Mesto.
