Soul of a City

Palermo is not one of the grand cities of the world. It doesn’t have the history of Rome, the charm of Paris, the energy of New York. It doesn’t even have the population of El Paso. But greatness is often defined by what’s missing, and what Palermo doesn’t have could fill an article: rainy weather, long lines, exorbitant prices, an inflated sense of self.
