Sintra, the fairy tale city

On a visit to Portugal, after exploring the capital Lisbon a day trip that should not be missed and, can be easily arranged independently, is to the city of Sintra a UNESCO World Heritage site. Famous for its fairy tale palaces, it can be reached by train from Rossio Station in Central Lisbon in about 40 minutes.
