Riding chicken buses in Central America

Travelling to Central America was on our bucket list and during our time there, we travelled predominantly on public transport.  Although it is possible to travel through many of these countries using the premium buses that cater towards the masses of tourists, we opted to use the public system to gain an experience and try to come close to what it is to travel like the locals.
