Responsible travel as a way of life

How Mariellen Ward's travels in India taught her to "refrain from judgement, respect local culture, remain curious, and see everything that happens as a lesson and a gift. This is the essence of responsible travel to me. I am always aware that I am a visitor in India. It is not my right to be a traveller, but a privilege. It’s much the same in life. There is a big difference between seeing life as a right and seeing it as a gift – as many people in India do. And this is one of the many reasons I love to travel in India. I love being surrounded by people who see life as a gift."
