Reasons The US Needs The Land and Water Conservation Fund

One of the Land and Water Conservation Fund's projects is protecting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from resort development.  On September 30, if Congress does not act, the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) will expire.
