According to a study published by Ravi Chermala in the journal Nature Food by Xu and co-workers (2021), global gas emissions from animal-based foods and indeed the Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have urged a shift towards a plant-based diet to help tackle the climate crisis or at least promoting a reduction in a resource-intensive meat production that is now in place to help feed the increasing planetary population (World Resources Institute, 2018).
