Pilgrims & Shepherds in the Indian Himalaya

Shiva’s headquarters are said to lie high and aloof amidst the great Himalaya. It is atop Mt Kailash in southwest Tibet that he reputedly indulges in narcotics and cavorts with his lusty consort. Well, who wouldn’t want to park there? Shiva has long been the mountain god, lord of mystics and wanderers, and his mountain lair is lauded in many ancient Hindu texts.
