In Bangkok, Scratching Beneath the Headlines of a Neighborhood Bombing

A bomb went off in Bangkok this week, by which I mean to say, in a less passive manner, that a man wearing a yellow t-shirt and, possibly, a shaggy wig, planted a bomb that exploded. The man strolled into Erawan Shrine, casual and unassuming, just another person drawn into the magnetic Hindu shrine on the corner of Phloen Chit and Ratchadamri roads.
