IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Company Limited was established in the year 2000, with two giant parties contributing to the collaborative venture; these were Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), which is the world's largest fertiliser manufacturer, and Tokio Marine Group, one of the largest insurance groups in Japan.
