Timo Palonoja is lamenting the British fixation with a certain bearded gentleman. His company Joiku-Kotsamo runs tours in Finnish Lapland including safaris with snowmobiles, huskies and reindeer. The region has visitors from many countries – he says there can be ten nationalities in one tour group – though he has relatively few British clients.
