How can you travel round the world 1.5 times for 2028 EUR?

In the past 2 years, I traveled round the world, starting in Germany and after that I travelled through America and back. I paid 2028 EUR for alltogether 12 flights. Can you do that, too?There are Round the World tickets by Oneworld and Star Alliance starting at about 3000 EUR plus about 800 EUR fees and taxes.
