Hiking Forest Park in Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon, is one of my three or four favorite small cities in the United States. It has so much going for it: a fun, mellow culture, bikes everywhere, thriving bookstores (Powells!), awesome food scene, and the friendliest hipsters I’ve met. It’s also the greenest city around, and I don’t just mean how ecofriendly and attuned to the importance of sustainability many aspects of Portland are.
