Here, there and everywhere: When the mind and body hanker for Leh

Today, Ladakh, especially Leh, is on my mind. It may have something to do with the fact that it’s miserably hot, and the images of snow-capped mountains and ice-covered slopes create a yearning for Leh that’s hard to shake. Like most hill towns Leh is not too large and the centre is approached through narrow lanes, past a bridge under flowed water that had melted on the peaks and eclectic shops selling antiques and clothes.
