Hanoi Circus Clown Plots Post-Marxist Revolution
HANOI—Hanoi’s prestigious state-run circus, a relic of Vietnam’s Marxist past, has lost a third of its budget and will have no government funding at all by the end of the decade. In charge of figuring out a survival strategy is Ta Duy Anh, a part-time clown. Mr. Anh has swapped his red nose for a sober business suit and a stack of management books with titles including “Blue Ocean Strategy,” a 2005 tome that recommends companies.
