Five of the rarest birds in the Peruvian Rainforest

The Peruvian Rainforest is home to over 800 species of bird, many of which are endemic and endangered. The following are some of the rarest in the region. Harpy Eagle Owing to destruction of its natural habitat, the harpy eagle has been wiped out from several former territories, however, in the Peruvian Amazon there remains the opportunity to see this powerful aquiline specimen in action.
