Farmlands and Apple Orchards of Marpha in the Mustang District of Nepa

In the village of Marpha in Mustang, dry land farming is a way of life.   These photos were taken just as the famous apples of the village were in full bloom.   Each field in Marpha includes a white stone placed in the center, sometimes a kata (holy scarf blessed by the lama) is tied around the stone.
