Everest: is it right to go back to the top?
As the sun goes down, the temperature quickly falls in Deboche, a tiny village at 3,860 metres in the Khumbu region of Nepal. A fresh layer of snow lies on the ground and from the Rivendell lodge is a truly heartstopping view: there, framed by the dining-room windows, is the tallest mountain on Earth, Everest.
