“Boat is home”: Getting to know the Moken

Happy day-after-Easter, friends!In addition to celebrating the holiday this weekend, there was one more cause for celebration in the yurt – my first photo essay for BBC Travel was published on Saturday. The photos were taken in December 2012, when I spent a week with a village of Moken sea gypsies on the Surin Islands archipelago in Thailand.
