eadstock fabric started as a moniker for damaged or out-of-order fabric but has since extended to take account of the overstocked and extra fabric due to overproduction from the fast fashion industry. It may well result from any number of errors and misjudgments in the textile mills and garment factories, including the:

1. printing errors

2. small damages to the stuff

3. overestimating the amount of fabric required

4. fabric dyed the wrong color
