Are Bucket Lists Destroying Travel?

I heard a question on Twitter today that really made me stop and think. Are bucket lists destroying travel and ultimately travel destinations? Up until today, I had always considered bucket lists to be good things, things you want to see and do instead of sitting at home watching other people do them on TV. According to this article (posted below) bucket lists are hurting travel more than promoting it. Thoughts?
