We often changed our route and schedule and while we never booked accommodation ahead, we always managed to find decent, reasonable places to stay. We didn’t camp as we had no space for equipment once our home-made roof rack disintegrated a few hours from Cape Town. B&B Accommodation averaged around R170 a night a person, while camping cost around R60 a person.
