In today's democratic period, black women's human rights debates remain a difficult balancing act. This is the distinction between personal wants and the requirements of a larger family or community and this is the part of African Culture and Tradition. This stems from the recognition that colonial legacies of socioeconomic hardship continue to plague both black men and women.
