A Day Tour from Shanghai – Visit to Anchang Ancient Village

The stage was at the entrance of Anchang Village on the banks of a canal and very high up above the audience. Two main characters, ladies dressed in flamboyant pink silk and heavy makeup, moved gracefully from one corner of the stage to the other in time to the music of the erhu. They were talking, semi screaming and singing but their lips hardly moved.
