18-wheelers transport unsecured cargo -Bennett Hodgins Law

Enclosed trailers are not standard on all 18-wheelers. Some semis have an open flatbed that must be secured by the driver. If the driver was careless in tying down the goods, untied debris could cause accidents that result in harm or even death. Raw materials, industrial tools, vehicle components, and other things are examples of common unsecured freight.
